水野 誠一

慶応義塾大学経済学部卒業。
西武百貨店社長、ネットスケープ・コミュニケーションズ顧問、慶応義塾大学総合政策学部特別招聘教授、参議院議員を経て、1995年IMAを設立。Francfrancや森ビル、オリコンなど複数の企業の社外取締役や顧問を歴任。
西武百貨店在任中には、若者文化の発信地となった“ロフト”を成功に導き、現在の “情報発信基地・渋谷”のアイデンティティを確立させた手腕は高い評価を得ている。
Webブラウザ“ネットスケープ”の日本導入、ペニンシュラホテルなど多くの外資系企業・ブランドの日本進出を手掛け、国内外のファンドと協力し、企業の再生プログラム策定、ベンチャーに対する資金調達や、マーケティングコンサルティングなども行っている。
ソーシャルプロデューサーとしても文化的な活動も精力的に行っており、一般社団法人Think the Earth、すみだ地域ブランド推進協議会で理事長を務める。

Graduated from Keio University's Faculty of Economics.
After roles as the President of Seibu Department Store, an advisor for Netscape Communications, a specially appointed professor in the Faculty of Policy Management at Keio University, and a member of the House of Councillors, he founded IMA in 1995. He has also served as an external director and advisor for several companies, including Francfranc, Mori Building, and Oricon.
During his tenure at Seibu Department Store, he successfully led "Loft" to become a hub for youth culture. His efforts were instrumental in establishing the identity of the current "information hub: Shibuya," for which he has received high acclaim.
He was responsible for introducing the web browser "Netscape" to Japan and facilitated the entry of many foreign companies and brands, such as the Peninsula Hotel, into the Japanese market. In collaboration with both domestic and international funds, he has developed corporate revitalization programs, secured funding for startups, and provided marketing consulting services.
As a social producer, he is actively involved in cultural initiatives and serves as the president of the general incorporated association Think the Earth and the Sumida Regional Brand Promotion Council.
